React Native frontend on an insurance engagement app: full screen flows from Figma, Node APIs, Jest/RTL, Storybook — plus agile ceremonies with design and PM.
Role
Frontend developer (freelance, remote) on a React Native product in the insurance / engagement space — the kind of mobile-first work Lasting Dynamics describes on their insurance & insurtech page (customer retention, modular apps, compliant delivery).
Mobile UI (React Native)
- Implemented major screens end-to-end from Figma: onboarding, home feed, service detail, cart, order tracking — iOS and Android.
- Design reviews with designer and PM: challenged feasibility early, proposed UX tweaks before build.
APIs & state
- Contributed custom React hooks for state and API integration; patterns were reused across features with strong Jest coverage (~85% on those hooks in my areas).
Quality & documentation
- TDD-style unit and component tests (Jest + React Testing Library) on critical paths.
- Storybook for reusable primitives (Button, Card, InputField, BottomSheet) so other features could compose without reinventing UI.
Ways of working
Active participation in agile rituals — daily standups, planning, refinement, retros — including story-point estimation.
